I want to consume less and create more...

It made my day when I got an email from photographer Clay Enos that said simply: I dig your mantra.

I'm Travis Jon Allison. I'm a photographer from Southern Ontario, Canada and making art has always been my passion. Getting to be a photographer was one of my goals since I first borrowed my mom's Pentax Spotmatic camera and took it with me to camp for the weekend.

I thank you and my clients who have allowed me to share that passion and keep creating. It makes me very happy.

This blog is all part of my creating bug. I use it to keep a record of what's going on with me so that my clients can get to know me better and so my friends and family can keep up with what is going on in our world. One part photo album, one part journal and all me. Thanks for reading!

I hope you enjoy the blog. Please add me into your  feed reader.

Alicia and Conor’s “Day After” Shoot

This afternoon of shooting was great fun (as always with Alicia and Conor). We drove out to the camp of a friend of ours’ near London and shot around this great old mansion that is the centre piece of the property. Alicia was brave out there in her strapless dress… after doing a 15 km run in the morning.

Back on the trigger

After a crazy winter (emergency gall bladder surgery and a 10 week recovery) I finally feel like a photographer again.

These are from shooting around the house the other day.

Alicia & Conor’s Wedding

I am so happy to finally put up some pictures of Alicia and Conor’s November wedding at the Queen’s Landing on Niagara-on-the-Lake.   As I said before Alicia is an old friend and canoe-tripping buddy of mine and it was amazing that we were able to be at her beautiful day.

If you look closely you’ll see some familiar faces in the shots!

Maybe the easiest way to see the pictures is through the video.

Vendors -  Some of the other folks involved in making this wedding so amazing:

Flower Design – Pauline Vanderkuip from My Bouquet Floral Design

Officiant – Rev. Derek Rymarchuk from Abba Ministries of Canada

On a personal note…

Thank you all for your patience – I am starting to feel much better these days.   Very happy to pick up a camera again!

Ron, Jen, Thompson and Christena

You can’t tell it from the photos but it was FREEZING this afternoon at Southside Park in Woodstock. It was great to get to keep taking pictures from Ron & Jen – they were one of my first ever weddings and part of my inspiration to go in to the business. I am so excited for the way these pictures turned out.

Thanks, eh.LFamily09-20.jpgLFamily09-39.jpg
